August 15 - 27, 2012

This is the third trip MPPC has taken to Cambodia with a focus on human trafficking. This year, our team (which consists of a few returning members from previous trips) will primarily partner with Agape International Mission. Our team will be putting on a Kid’s Club at Rahab’s House, a former brothel in Svay Pak. Kid’s Club is a daily children’s program that is ran by a Cambodian pastor and his young adult disciples. In addition to working at Rahab’s House, we will be working at other Agape ministries including:

The Lord’s Gym – a free workout center where our staff develop relationships with traffickers, sharing the truth about salvation through Christ and the inherent evil of the industry

Community healthcare clinic

Agape Training Center – a new project that MPPC’s Easter offering helped fund. The training center will offer girls a career in garment manufacturing. Agape is currently setting up a factory, preparing for training and working with Apricot Lane for merchandising.

Agape Restoration Center - a safe and secure home that provides rehabilitation, restoration, and transitional living for girls rescued from sex trafficking in Cambodia. Our team will be throwing a Hawaiian luau themed party for the girls and the staff while we're in Cambodia.

Our team will also be visiting the brick factories in Svay Pak on a daily basis to distribute bags of rice and clothing that was collected through a clothing drive at MPPC.
