Today we left for Ethiopia. We all met up at the airport. When Noelle and I arrived, most of group was already in line. We scooted under the line dividers to join them, and while I was scooting, I "gracefully" fell forward smashing my knees against the floor causing my team and everyone else in line to gasp. I guess that is one way to "break the ice!"

The first plane ride to Frankfurt went well. Our flight from Frankfurt to Addis Ababa was a little more exciting. We flew through the Sudan. While our plane was on the ground in Khartoum being refueled it was 102 degrees outside. We took off fine, but when we finally approached Addis, there was a huge lightening storm. We were forced to circle the airport for thirty minutes before landing. At the airport we went through customs, got our luggage, met our rides, and went to the Ghion Hotel. We were all very happy to sleep after 24 hours of travel.
