Today was our last school day in Dessie. Heidi led us in the devotional. She did a wonderful job talking about the Prodigal Son and telling her testimony. Next we went and observed teachers in their classrooms. They were using some of the new strategies for active learning. I observed the kindergarten 1 teachers. They did an information gap activity and hopscotch counting by two's. They did great. After observations it was back to teacher training. Everyone did great! Alwin did great teaching everyone how to write paragraphs.

Once again, we all had a wonderful time visiting with the teacher during break time. Not even the language barrier has stopped us from becoming friends.

So, this week there has been this sheep. It is a very loud sheep. It has kept me awake when I want to take a nap. We all joked that we would eat it one day. So. . . guess what was for dinner tonight - mutton! I gladly ate the meal knowing that I would be able to sleep soundly.

This evening was filled with preparation for tomorrow's Vacation Bible School. The markers are sorted, crowns cut, and puppets ready! We are excited to see what God has in store for us tomorrow!
