Our team met at SFO at 8:30 am for a group check-in. We had a couple minor glitches but otherwise had a smooth trip to Guatemala, arriving at 10:00 pm, right on time. During our layover in Houston we stayed in a private room and played a fun game which helped us get to to know each other better. We were met at the Guatemala City airport by our leaders, Steve & Laura Reed. Getting through customs and getting our luggage was easy and fast. Fitting into the vans was a little trickier. We didn’t quite fit so some of us stayed behind and waited for another van. We all finally arrived at the hotel by around midnight. Our first meeting with the leaders was in the tiny parking garage. We got our room assignments went to bed. We are staying in the Spring Hotel which used to be a monastery. All the rooms open up to an open air atrium
