Being involved in a global partnership is an exciting aspect of ministry for MPPC, and participating on a short-term team truly captures the joy and impact of that partnership for our members. Living in a new culture, learning about our global partnerships, and sharing in hands-on work and ministry with an MPPC team changes lives for those who participate. Recently MPPC has begun a relationship through Christ for the City with CECRISDEFA, a Christian orphanage and school in Nicaragua. This international fellowship has grown through financial support and the involvement of short-term teams.

This year our hope as a team is to continue building up this partnership through serving the school of CECRISDEFA and the surrounding community with willing hands and warm servants' hearts.

During the day we will be doing construction on the school's laundry facilities and classrooms. We will also dedicate much of our time to the children of the school by showing them Christ's love through games, crafts and Bible story skits.

During the evenings we will spend time in the community, attend an evening church service and be together as a team. Since we will be staying in two of the school dormitories, our involvement with CECRISDEFA will be a full-time experience.

Our hope is that God will open our eyes to a world very different from our own and teach us more about relying on Him for our every need. Our prayer is that we will be used by God to continue the work that has already been started at CECRISDEFA and will return changed-stronger in faith and wiser in our knowledge of Him.
